About Hear 'n Aid
Hear 'n Aid was a heavy-metal charity music project created in response to African famine relief efforts. The centerpiece was the all-star song “Stars.”

Event History
The project was spearheaded by Ronnie James Dio, Jimmy Bain and Vivian Campbell and brought together dozens of hard rock and heavy metal musicians. Recording sessions took place in May 1985, with the album and single released in 1986.
